Tour News

Chaos and Mayhem. Fantastic musicians. Great gigs. Disappointments. All made up the first of the One December Moon tours.

Gig highlights were The Wheatsheaf in Thebarton, Adelaide where the acoustic guitar, Harp, Cello and percussion brought to the room, warmth and serenity and where Vazzy gave each member of the band a set of handmade angel wings to wear. Thanks Vazzy.

Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club, Melbourne was blessed by the joy of Gerry Hale and the Innocent Bystanders. Their set and the magic that Gerry then added to our set was sensational. Another highlight would have to be Lizottes, Kincumber. A full house and a magnificent vibe in the room. The encore had people up dancing and one of the audience members onstage banging the Tambourine. The Gawler Starplex was a completely different vibe. Relaxed and intimate. A number of audience members graced the stage with various pieces of percussion.

Logistical dramas left the Heritage Hotel, Bulli down in numbers, but onstage and in the company of Lachlan Doley, Ramsay McInnes, Dave Symes and Terepai, musically this gig was an absolute highlight. The same line up happened to join together onstage for the Brass Monkey, Cronulla. A quiet, reflective yet thankfully attentive audience.

I am now entering rehearsals for Poor Boy. A wild time ahead, followed by more excitement and spontaneity. Thanks to all of you who came to the shows. Hope to see you on the world stage later this year with some new songs and some exciting experiences.
