Abi Tucker releases her second album, One December Moon through her own Kellett Street Records.
Loved by millions worldwide as Grace McLeod in the iconic series McLeod’s Daughters, Abi Tucker is also an accomplished singer songwriter whose original compositions have appeared in the TV series Heartbreak High, The Secret Life of Us and McLeod’s Daughters as well as the feature film Angst.
One December Moon written and produced by Abi, is a collection of songs that reflect love and life stories starting with chance meetings in internet cafes. to one night romances ending with high fives. Stretches of time where the city seems like an unknown planet to immense happiness found in the following of dreams.
Abi says ‘One December moon is an album I started writing soon after the release of Dreamworld. It’s a labour of love that I had to create. The musicians on the album have weaved absolute magic. I am really, really excited about it’s launch. ’
Released in 2003, Abi’s debut album Dreamworld was a critical success, described by the Herald Sun as “a heartfelt, cinematic, occasionally quirky collection of semi acoustic – electro pop songs… a fine debut album. ”
Abi supported the release with a major Australian tour, including an accumulative period of 30 weeks in remote outback communities – an experience which affected her greatly and inspired her to write numerous songs, including Hey You.
