New Album In Stores
Monday 10th November 2008
‘One December Moon’ is delightfully optimistic and courageous. Heartfelt and honest, it is an absolute credit to Abi and her endurance as both a songwriter and an artist. There is something particularly engaging about the vocals. Wonderfully imperfect, Abi sings with a confidence that, in comparison to earlier releases, puts her into a whole new league. She writes about events that affect her. She voices ideals, ambition, eccentricity and imagery that plays vital in the lyrics and melodies for these eleven tracks. In the company of some of the most respected SA, WA and NSW musicians. From the brass in ‘Wild Hearts’ to the glissando of the harp and the swirling strings in ‘Hollywood Ending’, to the featured vocals of David Lawrence on ‘Trouble’ Independently bringing these performers together on one album is a feat that Abi triumphs from. This could be the emerging of one of the most valued albums of this year.
